As a content strategist, you will be responsible for developing strategies and creating content tailored to specific target audiences, including the Francophone community. Working collaboratively with the Director of Digital Communications, your role involves coordinating with marketing teams to maximize fundraising opportunities and corporate partnerships. Your focus will be on crafting engaging content across various channels to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Possession of a bachelor's or associate's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent training/work experience in PR, online marketing, or a related field.
- Substantial experience of six to ten years in communications and client relations, with a focus on Public Relations/Communications or Marketing/Advertising.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
- Proven experience in managing content creators and editors.
- Strong track record of overseeing web content projects.
- Active engagement in social networking through blogs and communities.
- Proficiency in analytics and exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience in content development and publishing management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for interpersonal relationships and building connections.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in editorial and content strategy planning for web-based platforms.
- Supervise a team of content editors to ensure timely and consistent updates to communication-focused webpages on redcross.ca/croixrouge.ca.
- Serve as a vital link for the creation of French-language content and management of digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop website content strategies, including homepage enhancements and new sections.
- Provide support for marketing content requests.
- Supply the Senior Manager of Social Media with valuable analytics and insights.
- Analyze the outcomes of campaigns and offer recommendations to guide future campaign decisions.
- Contribute to content creation across all digital channels, including but not limited to blog posts and social media content.
- Provide support for third-party app development and content.
- Stay informed about current web trends and best practices relevant to the Canadian Red Cross's work.
- Build relationships with cross-functional teams to grasp their needs and objectives while ensuring a focus on the audience perspective.
- Contribute to regular reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and as needed during emergencies.
- Maintain an understanding of trends, feedback, and metrics from similar organizations.
- Be available for assistance during weekends, emergencies, and appeals.
