As the Quality Control Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of construction and demolition projects. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing quality control and assurance processes, procedures, and documentation to guarantee the achievement of project goals within the specified timeframes and budgets. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will play a critical role in our projects’ success.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of five years of experience in working with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
  • Successful completion of the "CQM for Contractors" course offered by ACOE (Army Corps of Engineers).
  • Demonstrated competence in managing contractors, along with relevant experience and expertise in implementing inspection and testing programs for remediation and construction projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver.
  • Proven track record of working with Federal clients and established relationships in this domain.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data, think logically and creatively, draw informed conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to cope with constant changes.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff and clients.
  • Proficiency in the use of the USACE RMS system is highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to carry out tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Possession of an OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable.
  • A 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
  • Extensive travel may be required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.
  • Current certification in USACE Construction Quality.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive daily safety inspections in all active work areas and meticulously document the findings.
  • Consult with field staff on safety-related matters, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Lead initial safety orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Monitor and enforce housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Serve as the point of contact for construction safety matters, liaising with the owner and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary safety-related reports in a timely manner.
  • Conduct investigations into post-accident and property damage incidents.
  • Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.
