As a Project Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our construction projects, guaranteeing that accident and fire protection programs are fully aligned with Caddell’s Corporate Safety Program. You will conduct daily safety inspections, consult with field staff, and monitor safety practices to maintain a clean and secure work environment. This position also includes responsibilities such as conducting safety orientation sessions for new hires, serving as a safety liaison with stakeholders, and conducting accident investigations. Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and a progressive nature of safety management work, totaling 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years on similar projects.
- An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training per year for the past 5 years, including training for competent person status in the following five areas of competency: Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Hazardous energy, and Confined space.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough daily safety inspections of all active work areas and maintain detailed records of these inspections.
- Collaborate with field staff on safety issues, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Lead initial safety orientation sessions for new hires.
- Oversee and promote housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Act as a construction safety liaison with owners and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit all necessary safety-related reports.
- Conduct investigations for post-accident and property damage incidents.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Corporate Safety Manager.
