Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of related work experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction projects.
  • Successfully complete a drug and alcohol test.
  • A completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, costs, budgets, and current construction practices and methodologies.
  • Exhibit the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, along with the capability to understand and interpret stakeholder needs.
  • Demonstrated skills in identifying the root causes of problems, determining short and long-term solutions, anticipating patterns, and considering the broader implications beyond the immediate issue.
  • Proficient in anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex scenarios and devising innovative solutions within the construction plan and schedule.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others to reach a consensus.
  • A track record of building successful teams and fostering teamwork through motivation, coaching, facilitation, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid provincial driver's license.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection throughout the project. Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to ensure overall compliance with Ledcor's HS&E standards, relevant OH&S acts, regulations, and codes for all project employees and subcontractors.
  • Create and/or facilitate the Project Quality Program to ensure the supply of project materials and the completion of work in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Ensure projects adhere to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in collaboration with the project team to achieve milestones and completion dates.
  • Lead project meetings involving internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the ongoing project progression.
  • Provide strong leadership to construction team members, leveraging individual and group strengths to achieve project targets.
  • Identify and effectively manage opportunities and risks to have the best possible impact on schedule and financial objectives.
  • Maintain, track, and report all financial aspects of the project, including forecasts and billings.
  • Manage the procurement process, including negotiations and awards for subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
  • Perform other relevant duties as outlined in Ledcor's Construction Operations Manual.
