Project Engineers and Project Managers will play a pivotal role in one or multiple assigned projects and client accounts. Their primary focus will be to support project execution, effectively manage scope, budget, and schedule, and act as key resources in driving business unit initiatives. This role requires fostering connections across multiple offices, understanding the services we offer, and the clients we serve.
Job Requirements:
For Project Engineers:
- Possess 6 to 10 years of related experience in industrial design, maintenance, or operating facilities.
- Experience in understanding, creating, and maintaining schedules (MS Project or Primavera) is an asset.
- Must have experience in preparing engineering hour estimates and proposals.
- Strong technical engineering background in chemical, mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering.
- Experience in material procurement processes, capital cost estimating, construction planning, and support is an asset.
- Must have multi-discipline engineering experience within an industrial consulting engineering environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively manage multiple small projects concurrently in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive client and project team relationships.
- Strong attention to detail.
For Project Managers:
- Possess 10+ years of related experience in industrial design management, either in a consulting engineering environment or within an operating facility.
- Brownfield project experience is required.
- Experience in understanding, creating, and maintaining schedules (MS Project or Primavera) is an asset.
- Experience with the preparation of engineering hour estimates and proposals is required.
- Must have a strong technical engineering background in chemical, mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering and may be asked to complete technical reviews of documents.
- Experience in material procurement processes, capital cost estimating, construction planning, and support is an asset.
- Must have multi-discipline engineering experience within an industrial consulting engineering environment.

About Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering effort to meet project objectives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop winning strategies, proposals, and accurate engineering execution plans to successfully complete projects as a cohesive team.
- Manage change requests from clients, suppliers, or internal stakeholders, assessing their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget. Consult with the Project Manager (PM) to obtain approvals before implementation.
- Gather and disseminate project information to the project team.
- Administer, plan, coordinate, and monitor projects.
- Collaborate closely with Discipline, Client, and Technical Managers to deliver designs that are timely and fit for purpose.
- Generate or participate in studies and detailed designs.
- Facilitate inter-discipline coordination during the development and implementation of designs.
- Ensure that all project scope items are addressed and quality objectives are met.
- Maintain and adhere to project schedules and budgets.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and guidelines.
- Build on established relationships with key clients by meeting or exceeding expectations regarding quality, schedule, budget, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Coordinate client meetings, involving team members as appropriate.
- Manage client expectations and discuss technical and financial aspects clearly, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the client's needs.
- Understand the underlying goals of a client's project, identify potential next steps or related projects that could help achieve these goals, and effectively communicate these findings to the client and Tetra Tech management.
- Understand client procedures and share best practices with the internal team.
