Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is desirable. However, equivalent experience (5+ years) will be considered in lieu of a college degree. Basic knowledge of general construction industry contracting practices is a plus.
- Must be capable of passing Government Background Investigations and obtaining clearances for access to military installations.
- Previous experience in managing Government contracts is preferred.
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in fieldwork and project planning.
- Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with design and visualization software.
- Ability to work on multi-discipline projects.
- Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of customers and clients, including Federal, state agencies, local government agencies, and commercial clients.
- Capable of working independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical construction documents, procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to inquiries from managers, clients, and customers.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly project control reports, as well as operational reports related to cost, schedule, progress, budget, forecast, manpower, and quantities.
- Help establish project parameters and delegate responsibilities to the most qualified team members while monitoring their performance.
- Ensure that the project complies with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, application of construction methods, and documentation.
- Create comparisons and evaluations related to project estimates, forecasts, cost trends, and schedules concerning budgets, productivity, manpower allocation, and other operational data.
- Track project budgets and costs, establish product costs, and analyze changes in company costs.
- Conduct meetings, draft reports, or review the work of others in relation to project cost management.
- Assist in administering project teams, coordinating activities between project locations, and ensuring that all decisions and actions align with the project's objectives and priorities.
- Participate in organizing and overseeing project work to ensure that all project objectives are met, including safety, environment, cost, schedule, work quality, and site conditions.
- Prepare and deliver project presentations.
- Support project controls in preparing cost estimates and cost-loaded schedules.
- Obtain the necessary permits and approvals for planned work.
- Keep team members informed about progress and developments.
- Monitor the development of project documents and handle change orders.
