The successful candidate will play an integral role in our Enterprise Business Intelligence team. This position demands a thorough understanding and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve various technical challenges of moderate to high complexity. The candidate will take charge of the entire setup and management of the Cognos environment, including report and dashboard development, administration, configuration, customization, security, and more. Regular interactions with customers will be necessary to perform requirements analysis, document customer needs, and develop and deliver solutions accordingly. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to user training and documentation efforts, ensuring that the team follows established procedures and stays updated with evolving technologies through ongoing training and development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in the information technology industry, with a focus on Cognos Development and Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in developing reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos 10.2 or higher (experience with other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc., is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience managing clustered Cognos environments, including server administration, health checks, and content administration.
- Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Time Collection, and Deltek GovWin is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, encompassing both Dimensional (Kimball methodology) and Relational (Inmon methodology) approaches.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL and PL/SQL, particularly in Oracle, including development and query tuning.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in diagramming and vector programming tools like MS Visio for creating and maintaining architecture diagrams of BI environments.
- Experience with virtual team collaboration tools such as Zoom.
