A pioneering industry leader, known for its innovative solutions in designing, constructing, and managing VOC and HAP emissions control strategies, is in search of an Operations Manager to oversee both field and shop operations as well as administrative management. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking and motivational leader with exceptional communication and staff management skills. Collaborating closely with the team, the new Operations Manager will aim to meet and exceed operational and financial objectives through effective leadership and accountability while maintaining a strong focus on safety, cost-effectiveness, productivity, and delivering world-class customer service.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in operations.
- At least 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, operations software, and ERP software.
- Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Plan, direct, and execute field and shop operations, as well as administrative management.
- Administrative Oversight: Handle administrative management tasks, including reviewing and approving field tickets and time sheets, managing the Purchase Order system, overseeing QMS inspections, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance.
- Staff Management: Supervise staff, prepare work schedules, and assign specific duties. Provide training, mentoring, and coaching for field personnel.
- Report Analysis: Review management reports, such as Employee Utilization, Bi-annual Employee Evaluations, and Monthly P&L's.
- Inventory Management: Take charge of job, shop, and inventory management, including audits.
- Safety Leadership: Champion safety management, focusing on elements like JSA's, DOT compliance, SOP adherence, hazard identification, and safety initiatives. Work closely with the safety department and on-site safety representatives.
- Policy Development: Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
- Software Management: Handle tools and software, such as Riger and other branch-specific applications.
