As a Marketing Specialist specializing in Corporate Events and Experiences, you’ll be a key player in a high-performing team dedicated to creating immersive and unforgettable TELUS customer experiences. Collaborating closely with the Sponsorship team and various stakeholders, your role involves securing TELUS Suites and event tickets at stadiums across the country.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple concurrent programs/projects in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, influence, and negotiate while establishing and sustaining productive relationships at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, and translation.
  • Agile and effective in adapting to a demanding and evolving work environment, capable of handling multiple tasks, managing budgets, and proactively balancing competing priorities.
  • French-speaking/reading proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with event management software like Cvent or a similar registration platform.
  • Knowledge of Cvent AttendeeHub software.
  • Familiarity with TicketManager.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Marketo, and other marketing applications.
  • Proficiency in using Monday.com or a similar project management platform.
  • Possession of a degree or diploma in event management, business, or marketing.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring exceptional experiences.
  • Efficiently manage national hosting assets and suite resources to optimize sponsorship return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with the Events Team in designing registration forms, extracting usage reports, and working with the Finance department for monthly chargebacks.
  • Support the delivery of extraordinary customer, community, and team member event experiences.
  • Facilitate marketing and sponsorship activations.
  • Handle Hospitality Suite Management, ensuring nationwide suite utilization during available events.
  • Act as the main point of contact with venues for sports events and concert announcements.
  • Input all hosting assets into TicketManager.
  • Oversee the distribution of hosting assets and parking passes.
  • Maintain communication with all Business Units (BU) regarding upcoming hosting events.
  • Manage any unused sporting events/concerts, returning them to the venue or Ticket Manager for resale.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on suite utilization.
  • Work with venues, partners, and marketing to ensure suites are equipped with updated TELUS-branded marketing materials.
  • Take charge of managing all invoices for suite lease agreements.
  • Handle Ticket Management for Mountain Properties, including annual pass allocation and distribution.
  • Familiarity with CVent, an event management platform, is a plus.
  • Aid the Events Team in developing registration and event documents for various programs throughout the year.
  • Collaborate closely with the Events Team to devise an email communication plan.
  • Work with the Finance department to create reports and manage chargebacks.
  • Assist with executive galas' table management.
  • Keep track of various events and maintain the team's event calendar.
  • Compile survey results following each program.
  • Contribute to event metric reporting.
