In this role, you will be responsible for creating and developing a dynamic and ever-evolving network and telecommunication service model to meet the University’s evolving needs and stay aligned with crucial industry advancements. Your decisions will be guided by a strong commitment to harnessing modern, secure, highly available wired and wireless technologies and architectures. This will enable the delivery of top-tier network and telecommunication services that support world-class teaching, learning, campus expansion, operations, and research initiatives. As the manager, you will also provide strategic guidance to the Director of ICT Infrastructure in defining standards and architecture for the University’s network and telecommunication services.
Job Requirements:
- Possess over 10 years of experience, including the design and implementation of large enterprise systems, along with hands-on technical expertise in networking.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in managerial and leadership roles, leading a substantial team of staff within a complex organizational structure, and managing service providers.
- Exhibit expertise in various networking domains, including Network 802.11, Switching, Routing, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and QoS.
- Ideally, have experience in higher education or service provider industries, demonstrating a deep understanding of diverse customer needs.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a focus on IT. A Master's degree or relevant technology certifications would be advantageous.
