Laborers will operate under the direct supervision of the job site foreman, superintendent, and project manager. Their role primarily involves physical labor tasks, which may include lifting, pulling, digging, cleaning work areas, and maintaining and cleaning equipment and tools.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to listen, follow directions, and effectively communicate with others.
- Willingness to wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment, which includes steel-toed boots, safety vests, hard hats, eye protection, and hearing protection.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and workplace safety.
- Proficiency in communication and teamwork.
- Capability to lift, pull, and handle heavy equipment and objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Adaptability to work outdoors, even in extreme heat or cold conditions.
- Willingness to take company-prescribed precautions to protect against potential irritants that may affect the eyes, nose, and skin.
- Ability to manage increased stress levels due to work schedules and the demands of completing tasks safely and on time.
- Capability to climb ladders and access cabs on heavy equipment.
- Comfort with walking on uneven and broken ground.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Work efficiently to ensure job deadlines are met.
- Conduct daily inspections of tools and promptly report any malfunctions or issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the job site.
- Ensure that tools are clean, properly shut down, and securely stored at the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate logs and records.
- Handle equipment refueling when necessary.
- Adhere to corporate safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Use tools in a safe manner to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
- Wear all company-required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Fulfill any related duties and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
