The role of an IT Project Manager – Resource Capacity Process Owner is a critical component of the Project Management process. As a Resource Capacity Process Owner, your primary responsibility is to establish and execute best practices for workforce capacity planning. This involves efficiently utilizing and optimizing resources to meet the demands of IT projects and ensuring timely project delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations Resource Managers, and Business Partners within the project landscape to document project workforce requirements based on business priorities, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of Project Management experience
- 3+ years of experience in Workforce Capacity Planning
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow ITBM - Resource Management Module
- Prior Project Management experience in the Information Technology field
- Preferred certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
About Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor forecasted capacity to ensure reliability.
- Assess existing capacity and formulate plans to meet anticipated demand.
- Continuously monitor capacity and demand, identifying constraints and changes, and providing insightful analysis.
- Raise awareness within the business regarding conflicting priorities.
- Analyze data and trends to identify and address problems and concerns.
- Initiate and lead improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing capacity while ensuring a favorable return on investment without introducing risks or disruptions.
- Ensure the implementation of the appropriate tools and processes to facilitate effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across the organization.
