The primary job responsibilities involve collaborating with the IT department to develop and maintain cloud and Unix infrastructure. This role includes providing technical support for cloud-based systems, addressing operational issues, and contributing to the administration of cloud services.
Job Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a strong understanding of GCP's capabilities and limitations.
- A comprehensive grasp of Cloud Computing, encompassing virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud delivery models, as well as awareness of the current competitive landscape.
- Implementation and support of new and existing services on GCP.
- Profound understanding of infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security, IAM, etc.) and practical experience with orchestration to develop cloud solutions.
- Solid knowledge of GCP services related to computing, storage, databases, networking, and operating systems.
- Expertise in Enterprise VPN and GCP virtual LAN with data center integration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models, in addition to an understanding of Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost management tools in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with database architecture and modeling, covering both relational database management systems (RDBMS) and No-SQL databases.
- A solid understanding of data archiving and restoration policies.
- Possession of relevant cloud certifications.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is a valuable addition.
- Practical experience in Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with GCP components and APIs.
- Proficiency in GCP databases such as BigQuery and CloudSQL, among others.
