The core responsibilities of this role involve collaborating with the IT department to develop and maintain cloud and Unix infrastructure, offering technical support for cloud-based systems, and resolving operational issues. Additionally, the position includes assisting in the administration of cloud services.
Job Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a solid understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
- Profound comprehension of Cloud Computing, encompassing virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models, as well as familiarity with the current competitive landscape.
- Implementation and support of both new and existing services on GCP.
- Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure components, including firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM), coupled with experience in orchestration to design cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in various GCP services spanning Compute, Storage, Databases, Networking, and Operating Systems.
- Expertise in Enterprise Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and GCP Virtual LAN integration with data centers.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), as well as familiarity with Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and cost management tools.
- Practical experience in database architecture, modeling, Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), and NoSQL databases.
- A strong understanding of data archiving and restoration policies.
- Possession of relevant Cloud Certifications.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in Linux administration and Shell Scripting.
- Proficiency in GCP components and APIs.
- Practical experience with GCP databases like BigQuery and CloudSQL, among others.
