The role involves providing desktop support and assisting with workstation-related tasks. This includes offering initial, first-tier technical support to end users for basic computer operations, such as password resets, ticket escalations, basic troubleshooting, and handling error messages.
Job Requirements:
- The candidate should possess the ability to identify, research, and resolve basic technical issues within a Windows environment.
- Effective customer service skills are essential, including the ability to document and track requests for assistance, as well as the capability to escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Basic experience with Windows operating systems is required.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 2010 Applications, Internet Explorer, and Outlook is necessary.
- Familiarity with Dell and HP laptops and desktop computers is a plus.
- The candidate should have the ability to learn and work within Active Directory user, group, and computer accounts.
- Proficiency in basic troubleshooting and support of PC hardware and peripherals, including printers, is expected.
- Knowledge of security applications, including antivirus software, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Blackberry, Android, and iPhone is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience with a high school diploma.
- 2+ years of experience with an associate's degree.
- Entry-level candidates with a bachelor's degree are also considered.
