Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED and four years of experience in the construction industry as a foreman or assistant superintendent is required.
  • A four-year degree in engineering or construction management, combined with four years of experience, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in verbal communication skills.
  • Strong subcontractor coordination skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and quality guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to schedules.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and project manager to develop and finalize the overall plan of operations, job layout, job schedule, and more.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of crafts and subcontractors in the field, delegating work through foremen and subcontractor representatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with engineering, quality control, and safety teams to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Review job plans, specifications, budgets, and estimates with the project manager and project superintendent to ensure a comprehensive understanding of quantities, values, manpower requirements, and material deliveries.
  • Play an active role in schedule development, logic review, and the generation of short-term look-ahead schedules, which are implemented in weekly subcontractor meetings conducted by the Superintendent.
  • Assist in preparing plans at the start of the job for receiving, storing, and handling materials as needed.
  • Assist in resolving construction issues such as productivity challenges and work interfaces.
  • Cultivate a positive and cooperative relationship with the owner, fostering a spirit of respect and collaboration between Caddell and project partners.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by your supervisor.
