We are looking for an Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform short-cycle assembly of electromechanical products and subassemblies, primarily under the guidance of the Assembly Lead.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of electronic theory and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in following both written and verbal instructions.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a mechanical assembler, with a preference for experience in handling high-complexity and large assemblies.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to occasionally stand, walk, sit, use hands for precise work, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must also be able to talk and hear. Occasionally, lifting and/or moving objects up to 20 lbs may be required.
- Work Environment: In this role, you may be exposed to varying weather conditions depending on the location and work settings. The work environment may include both air-conditioned and heated office spaces, and the noise level can be high due to factory machinery and equipment. Please note that you will work on the factory floor, which is housed in the same building as the office, and you may be exposed to heat and fumes.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and rework electronic and electromechanical precision assemblies and subassemblies, including components like switches, syncros, potentiometer gearboxes, and circuit boxes.
- Utilize hand tools and light power tools, such as a drill press, hand grinder, and sanders.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Complete soldering and wiring tasks as necessary to finish the product.
- Immediately report shortages or substandard parts to the Assembly Lead.
- Produce high-quality work, with some inspection checks conducted by the Assembly Lead or Quality Control.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping and safety principles.
- Familiarize yourself with company designs, manufacturing processes, and standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
