As an Electrical Project Manager, your primary role involves overseeing projects from their award stage to completion, ensuring that they are completed within budget and contractual timeframes. This multifaceted position entails relaying crucial information to the jobsite Superintendent, managing manpower, liaising with General Contractors, overseeing material procurement, and handling billing processing. A strong understanding of electrical work is essential to effectively assist the Superintendent in the project’s successful execution.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
- Possession of a current valid driver's license.
- At least a high school graduate, GED, or equivalent; degrees are preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, general contractors, and others.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Capability to accurately review and provide detailed plan take-offs for material procurement.
- Effective planning and strong organizational skills.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers during the initial planning phases of design-build projects.
- Manage material procurement, including ordering, and regularly review production to ensure appropriate time allocation to work items.
- Develop, submit, and track equipment and material shop drawings.
- Prepare detailed electrical take-offs based on engineered plans.
- Send detailed lighting, gear, and miscellaneous take-offs to electrical vendors to obtain quotes.
- Prepare change order estimates for submission to the General Contractor.
- Collaborate with General Contractors to offer value engineering (V.E.) pricing when necessary.
