Job Requirements:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent education and/or work experience.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Demonstrated success in performing lump sum bid and negotiated bid work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Maintain a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Uphold a high degree of integrity and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative and trade-specific analysis of construction documents and project requirements to create comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Develop conceptual cost models, budgets, and feasibility models using historical and current cost data, along with subcontractor input when needed.
  • Analyze project programs, designs, costs, and subcontractor input, offering comparisons, cost-saving strategies, value engineering options, and recommendations.
  • Prepare pre-bid qualification packages and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Review and manage subcontractor scopes of work based on project requirements.
  • Oversee subcontractor pricing, including proposal review and alignment with the desired scope of work.
  • Assist in current and new business development initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
