As the Construction Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to support the construction management of land development projects. You will serve as a vital link between consultants, contractors, builders, and governing authorities. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the site is permitted and serviced on schedule, and community completion is achieved efficiently and cost-effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Enrollment in a program leading to a diploma or degree in fields like Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or related disciplines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with financial aspects, emphasizing profitability, cost management, and the ability to comprehend and analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAD.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Construction Manager in the oversight of site servicing.
  • Conduct site visits during construction phases, generating daily progress reports for project teams.
  • Inspect work quality during and after contractors' completion, working in coordination with consultants and contractors to address any outstanding deficiencies.
  • Maintain construction schedules and furnish project teams with regular updates on project timelines.
  • Review and process contractor invoices and extra charges.
  • Assist in the process of reducing Letter of Credit security as work milestones are reached.
  • Aid in the management of Subdivision Maintenance and community completion.
  • Monitor and execute site cleanup as necessary.
  • Coordinate the installation of protective barriers for municipal infrastructure and any required community fencing.
  • Ensure that all landscaping projects within the community, including parks and boulevard trees, are satisfactorily completed.
  • Act as a liaison with the Building Team regarding site activities.
  • Assist in coordinating construction-related matters with the Building Team, such as the replacement of damaged concrete and the installation of separate sidewalks before the builder completes driveways.
  • Coordinate Land turnover walks with the Building Team.
  • Resolve homeowner concerns related to subdivision issues, as directed by project managers, construction managers, builders, or customer service.
