In this role, you will assist in supervising craft employees assigned to specific construction discipline work areas, such as electrical, piping, structural steel erection, rebar, ductwork, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Essential subcontractor coordination skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and quality guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and adhere to schedules.
- Proficient in interpreting construction drawings.
- Extensive travel is required, including national travel.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise craft workers in your designated area of responsibility and serve as a bridge between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction aligns with drawings and specifications.
- Aid in planning work schedules, determining workforce levels, required materials, and equipment.
- Monitor the work performance and productivity of crafts, ensuring compliance with project rules, procedures, safety requirements, and more.
- Collaborate with senior-level superintendents and project management to identify and address potential problems, work disruptions, and schedule challenges.
- Maintain communication with other departments, such as Purchasing and Engineering, as necessary to support the construction schedule.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by your supervisor.
