As the Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations in your assigned area, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual requirements, and maintaining a high level of production quality through crafts and subcontractors. You’ll be instrumental in enforcing safety and quality control policies and procedures to create a secure and efficient working environment.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED and four years of experience in the construction industry as a foreman or assistant superintendent is required.
  • A four-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, along with four years of relevant experience.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Strong skills in coordinating subcontractors are essential.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and adhere to project schedules.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction drawings.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the project superintendent and project manager to formulate, discuss, and finalize the comprehensive plan of operations, job layout, and job schedule.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of craftspeople and subcontractors in the field, delegating tasks through foremen and subcontractor representatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with the engineering, quality control, and safety teams to ensure that the work aligns with drawings, specifications, and the project schedule.
  • Review job plans, specifications, budget, and estimates with the Project Manager and project superintendent to ensure clear understanding of quantities, values, required manpower, and delivery schedules for various project divisions.
  • Play an active role in schedule development and conduct periodic logic reviews. You will be personally committed to generating short-term look-ahead schedules and implementing them in weekly subcontractor meetings led by the Superintendent.
  • Assist in the initial planning of material receiving, storage, and handling for the project.
  • Address construction challenges as they arise, such as productivity issues and work interface problems.
  • Foster positive relationships with the owner and strive to establish cooperation and respect between Caddell and other project partners' representatives.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor.
