As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be responsible for estimating project costs on a variety of construction projects, including major building renovations, multifamily developments, and tenant build-outs. Our projects typically range from $100,000 to $5 million, and you can expect to bid on 1-2 projects each week. Job Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- Have 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Demonstrated success in performing lump sum bid and negotiated bid work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
- Maintain a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Uphold a high degree of integrity and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative and trade-specific analysis of construction documents and project requirements to create comprehensive cost estimates.
- Develop conceptual cost models, budgets, and feasibility models using historical and current cost data, along with subcontractor input when needed.
- Analyze project programs, designs, costs, and subcontractor input, offering comparisons, cost-saving strategies, value engineering options, and recommendations.
- Prepare pre-bid qualification packages and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Review and manage subcontractor scopes of work based on project requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor pricing, including proposal review and alignment with the desired scope of work.
- Assist in current and new business development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
