As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in project delivery, working closely with the Project Manager. Your responsibilities encompass daily planning, scheduling, resource management, performance reporting, budget tracking, project cost analysis, submittals, and project correspondences. - A desired Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree. Basic knowledge of general construction industry contracting practices is a plus.
- Ability to pass Government Background Investigations and obtain clearances for military installations.
- Preferred experience in managing Government contracts.
- Five or more years of experience in field and project planning.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in design and visualization software.
- Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to work with diverse customers and clients, including Federal and state agencies, local government agencies, and commercial clients.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical construction documents, procedures, or governmental regulations and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly project control reports as well as operational reports covering cost, schedule, progress, budget, forecast, manpower, and quantities.
- Define project parameters and allocate responsibilities to the most qualified team members while closely monitoring the project team's performance.
- Ensure project compliance with relevant codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, and documentation.
- Generate project estimate comparisons and evaluations, assessing cost trends, budgets, productivity, manpower loadings, and other operational data parameters.
- Conduct meetings, draft reports, or review the work of others related to project cost management.
- Support the administration of project teams and coordinate activities across project locations to align decisions and actions with the project's objectives and priorities.
- Assist in organizing and controlling project work to ensure all project objectives related to safety, environment, cost, schedule, work environment, and quality are met.
- Prepare and deliver project presentations.
- Assist the project controls team in the preparation of cost estimates and cost-loaded schedules.
- Obtain all necessary permits and approvals for planned work.
- Keep team members informed of progress and developments.
- Monitor project document development and change orders.
