Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill essential job functions, typically acquired through six or more years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with passing the majority (3 or more) of the CPIM national certification exams, or being CPIM certified.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing resources planning theories, principles, and industry practices.
- Proficiency in manufacturing resource planning systems, business application software, and interface operations.
- Effective assessment and implementation of continuous improvement methods, such as pull systems and process mapping.
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements related to production control.
- Problem-solving abilities for a variety of complex challenges with diverse scope and complexity, often involving analysis and evaluation of multiple potential solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams.
- Goal setting, effective communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and recommend procedural changes.
- Capable of addressing significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

About Key Responsibilities:
- Assess production priorities by examining the master production schedule and customer demands.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding production status, schedule adjustments, shipping details, and returned materials. Adapt the master schedule based on customer feedback, requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Identify raw material and component requirements by referencing engineering and production specifications, considering a wide range of complex and diverse schedules. Maintain accuracy in the item master file and bill of materials.
- Keep management informed of work in progress, material availability, and potential production issues to ensure timely provision of personnel, equipment, materials, and services. Propose and implement changes to enhance the planning process in line with continuous improvement objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, and Contract Administration, to ensure a seamless material flow through the production process and consistent information on priorities and status.
- Evaluate materials supply and demand, create work orders or purchase requests for components or parts, and coordinate material movements between internal work areas, storage spaces, outside processing, and suppliers.
- Schedule and expedite parts movement using move orders and stock transfers to meet customer shipping deadlines and minimize inventory.
- Implement continuous improvement techniques and methods for internal processes and systems.
- Lead or be assigned to special project teams as required.
- Analyze inventory utilization, scrap, and shrinkage, and recommend actions to minimize losses, reduce inventory, and increase inventory turnover.
- Analyze proposed changes in methods, schedules, and materials, and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
- Resolve issues related to over shipments, shortages, engineering changes, and order cancellations.
- Maintain configuration control for all open orders and relevant data files in accordance with division policies.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and aerospace industry requirements, as well as policies and procedures in the Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM/CPM).
- May provide leadership within the department, set project goals and objectives, train and mentor junior employees, and share specialized knowledge.
- Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related tasks as necessary, including cross-functional or project team responsibilities.
