The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to ensure efficient management of project documentation, submittals, reviews, and quality control processes. Effective communication is key, as this role involves extensive interaction with internal team members, as well as external Consulting Engineers, Subtrades, and Suppliers.
Job Requirements:
- Hold a diploma in civil, environmental, geotechnical, or related programs. Candidates with degrees in similar technical fields may also be considered.
- Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in Construction project coordination.
- Have experience in record-keeping, estimating, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
- Exhibit a high level of motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Review Contractor submissions to confirm compliance with the Contract Documents before forwarding them for technical review.
- Track, monitor, and expedite submittals to guarantee they are reviewed and returned within the specified timeframes.
- Communicate with the project team to aid in monitoring and controlling budgets and schedules.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing meeting minutes, various reports, and tracking outstanding RFIs, Change Orders, Site Safety Reports, and more.
- Efficiently oversee the Contract Submittals process.
- Identify and flag budget or schedule issues for the project manager's attention.
- Recognize the need for change orders and support in their preparation.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of pre-bills and assist with the invoicing process.
