About Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as part of the core pursuit/pre-construction team to contribute to estimating, proposal development, and presentations, actively supporting efforts to secure new projects.
  • Play a leadership role in district initiatives, project pursuit, and preconstruction activities.
  • Establish and nurture a safety-focused culture, serving as a mentor and role model.
  • Chair project meetings and oversee the preparation and timely issuance of meeting minutes.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of a quality management plan and cultivate a quality culture with buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, quality standards, and schedule.
  • Manage project performance, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Provide performance status reports related to safety, cost forecasts, and schedules.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of project costs.
  • Address risk and opportunity management, as well as forecasting.
  • Oversee or verify progress payments to clients and subcontractors, monitoring overall project progress.
  • Understand and align with client expectations and contractual agreements.
  • Engage with the project team, client representatives, consultants, and trade contractors.
  • Supervise project reporting procedures.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders, and monitor their progress and adherence to schedules.
  • Enforce contract and contract document terms and resolve any disputes.
  • Participate in or lead negotiations for claims and disputes with the owner and trade contractors.
  • Manage all change orders, including negotiation, processing, and assessment of cost and schedule impacts.
  • Oversee the comprehensive project closeout process, which includes document archival, maintenance and warranty manual delivery, addressing deficiencies, and managing warranty work.
