Desktop Field Service Technician
The role involves providing comprehensive support to computer users, encompassing hardware and software installation, networking assistance, Windows 7 upgrades, and the deployment of new replacement machines. Additionally, it includes diagnosing and resolving issues with individual or multiple computer systems to ensure proper functionality, which may entail coordinating with vendors for issue resolution. The responsibilities also encompass conducting diagnostic reviews and generating error reports as needed to identify and rectify problems. This role assists in various computer-related projects, including policy implementation, and contributes to the creation of standardized operational management reports to monitor computer systems. Furthermore, it involves researching and analyzing hardware and software options, providing ordering information, and assisting users in purchasing necessary equipment. The position also involves resolving moderate end-user hardware and software issues, including those related to remote access software, configuring new computers, and coordinating workstation upgrades/replacements. Additionally, it includes participation in the deployment of new software platforms, tracking user requests, and ensuring problem resolution.
