Our client is seeking an Engineering Tools Technical Support Analyst to join their team. As a vital member of the Engineering Tools team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for various engineering software applications, including Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence, within the ES Sector. Your role will involve meeting customer and program requirements, assisting engineers in using software development, systems engineering, and hardware design and analysis tools. The majority of these tools are commercial (COTS) or open source. Your general support activities will include developing and executing installation procedures, testing, troubleshooting, responding to service desk break/fix tickets and service requests, addressing how-to questions, and documenting changes to the production environment in compliance with internal and DFARS policies and procedures. Candidates for this role will also be involved in supporting Engineering Application upgrades for ES Classified networks and must hold a Security+ Certification.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of work experience OR equivalent experience.
- Focus on Docker software administration and support.
- Detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to multitask and reprioritize work to meet the demands of a dynamic customer service environment.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, whether in a lead or participant role.
- General understanding of Engineering disciplines and tools.
- Experience with open-source tools, particularly Atlassian.
- Experience in packaging Windows applications for software distribution platforms, such as Microsoft SCCM.
- Familiarity with working in virtualized environments like VMware Workstation and vCenter.
About Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, operating, and supporting Engineering Tools in both ES Classified and unclassified networks.
- Providing support for Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jenkins.
- Troubleshooting the performance, availability, and overall health of tool environments.
- Assisting in planning and upgrading applications using Windows and Linux servers and client environments in various classified areas/locations.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for engineering application client and server installations and upgrades.
- Managing the migration of existing Atlassian environments to accommodate platform changes such as operating system updates, domain changes, or security patches.
- Establishing and maintaining active directory groups for Atlassian access.
- Offering timely support to users through the ServiceNow Help Desk ticketing system.
- Demonstrating proficiency in communication and organizational skills, along with a general understanding of Atlassian JIRA suite, Confluence, DOORS, Collaborator, and SVN software.
- Exhibiting sound judgment, initiative, and self-motivation to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Emphasizing attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with peers, Engineering, and Engineering Tools personnel.
- Managing time efficiently while addressing a variety of issues in a dynamic environment.
