Job Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant configuration management standards and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) systems, including PLM objects and workflow elements.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP or ASCP) systems; Oracle ERP experience is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, coordination, and negotiation with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Discretion and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Sound decision-making skills while adhering to policies, procedures, principles, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in making presentations.
  • Knowledge and experience with Data Management and Contract Data Requirements Lists/Submittal Data Requirements Lists (CDRL/SDRL) submissions.
  • Familiarity with PLM or PDM software and workflows.
  • NDIA CDM certification, CM II certification, or equivalent credentials.
  • Preferred experience in DoD and FAA Aerospace.
  • Knowledge of relevant military standards, including MIL-HDBK-61, SAE-EIA-649-1, EIA-649C, MIL-STD-31000, CMMI, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and, ideally, MS Access.
  • Motivation to continuously improve proficiency and stay current in the discipline.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to make ethical decisions while adhering to policies, procedures, principles, and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Experience in managing complex Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or 10+ years of relevant experience with CDM certification.

About Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the application of organizational Configuration Management (CM) processes in accordance with the CM plan for programs.
  • Interpret Customer contracts and modifications, and convey relevant information to the CM Team.
  • Execute CM tasks, including the release of CAD models and drawings, as well as non-CAD product data into the enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) system.
  • Maintain drawings/part data and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PDM and process drawing changes.
  • Keep various CM logs, including those for drawing number assignments and variance tracking, and generate metrics from PDM.
  • Support the Engineering Change Management process, facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Change Implementation Boards, and maintain meeting records.
  • Manage the As Designed and As Manufactured Bill of Materials (BOM), support the maintenance of the production baseline, and implement approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) into production configurations.
  • Oversee engineering changes from design through manufacturing to obsolescence.
  • Assist in maturing organizational Configuration Management (CM) processes that support concept development programs.
  • Apply Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) principles to the Technical Baseline and maintain recurring CSA reports.
  • Develop and maintain CM metrics in a Technology Development environment.
  • Support the delivery of technical Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to the customer.
  • Assist with company records and archive processes at both departmental and site levels.
  • Collaborate with the corporate Records Manager to ensure compliance with standards at the Phx site, including supplier Purchase Orders (POs) alignment with company standards.
  • Serve as a backup for Data Manager duties as required.
  • Support ISO, CMMI, Quality audits, and corporate Life Cycle Management assessments.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal and customer counterparts.
